Welcome to District 6
I am pleased to welcome you to our website. We are the Kinsmen, Kinettes and Kin who reside in Eastern Ontario and the Province of Quebec. District 6 is one of eight administrative divisions of Kin Canada, a proud, dynamic and growing service organization which is made up of over 600 clubs and stretches right across this great land.
What does Kin do? In a nutshell, we change lives through volunteerism and service work. In all we do, we strive to “serve the community’s greatest need”. You have seen us build parks and swimming pools, you have seen us perform community car washes, you have seen our logo on your son’s or daughter’s sports jersey, and you have read about the worthwhile endeavours we take on and the many causes we support. We have been, since 1964, the largest single contributor to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. We further higher education through the Kin Canada Bursary program, thereby helping dozens of deserving students achieve more each year. Most recently you have seen us support our military thru the Portraits of Honour Tour raising funds for the Military Families Fund while travelling across Canada.
It is our hope that you would like to learn more about us, and, to be frank, we want new members of good character to join one of our many clubs in District 6 or to Charter a new club in your community. We can promise you that we will involve you in community service work, while concurrently assisting in the development of your personal and business skills.
